Here are 4 ways to drastically improve your yelp reviews and stay above 4.5 stars!
Improving your Yelp Reviews can make all the difference for your business. If you’re a local business, restaurant, or brick and mortar mom and pops shop. Yelp will be your friend when it comes to local SEO.
You are on Yelp, but you have some reviews that you do not like.
What should you do? Sadly, you cannot delete it, and that is actually a good thing because if you started removing it, it would be making your store and your service or your product a bit biased.
The first thing you want to do is listen to feedback.
People will tell you why they are not happy with your service.
If your food sucks, and you are a restaurant let’s say, well you are going to get terrible reviews. If your food sucks and your prices are through the roof, you are definitely going to get awful reviews. However, if your food sucks and it is really affordable, maybe your reviews will be a three-star.
You want to listen to people. If they say hey you need to fix this in your food or it is not as fresh or it seems pre-cooked, change that.
If you do not want to change that, that’s up to you. Moreover, you know what, then you are not going to get amazing reviews.
However, if you do change it and you care about your customers and your business just like you would treat let’s say your newborn child or your sibling or family member, then your review quality is going to go up.
The second thing you want to do is just refund people who are not happy.
I know that sounds crazy, but if someone is not happy with my business and they pay me, I bite the bullet.
If it’s my fault and it’s honestly my fault, hey you could have your money back. And by doing that, people never say bad things about me, and that’s how much I care about my business. If you cared that much about your business, you wouldn’t want to refund people’s money, so you’re going to go above and beyond to provide the best service out there.
The third thing I do is I survey people. I ask them, how can I improve, what could I have done better? How could I have made you walk away with such a fantastic experience that you want to tell your buddies and your friends to come to us? Moreover, by surveying people and just being like, “hey feel free and be honest” or give them a free dessert or something only for giving you some feedback, what will happen is you’ll figure out how to improve your business.
Moreover, as you improve it, you’re going to get better ratings and reviews.
The fourth thing you need to know is as you talk to people, as you are helping them out and you’re trying to delight everyone by providing the best experience from when someone enters in your store from when they leave, you’re not going to get five stars all the time.
Every once in a while you’re going to get a one-star. That’s normal; there isn’t anything you can do about it either. So what you want to do is continue to listen to people and just try your best. It’s okay not to be perfect, no one is. Even the successful tech entrepreneurs that you see out there like the Elon Musk, the Mark Zuckerberg, the Bill Gates. Not every project that they do turns into gold. They’ve had some experiments that they do that fail. Look at Mark Zuckerberg, yeah he’s crushing Snapchat now, but look at how many attempts it took him before he succeeded and just crushed them. And on a side note, if you have Snapchat stock, you should probably sell it because they’re not doing that well and Facebook is just killing them. However, the point I’m really trying to get across is, you’re not going to be perfect, it’s okay. Just try your best and over time you’re going to see your ratings and reviews go up.
